We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to support large-scale, cloud-based repositories used by thousands of mission users. This role operates in a fast-paced, operational environment where performance, reliability, and security are critical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, engineering, or cloud-based systems; OR A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, engineering, or cloud-based systems in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems) is required
  • Qualifying experience must include requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, or problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines will be considered
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current Polygraph is required
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher (Security+ preferred) is required
  • Linux Systems Administration: RedHat, CentOS, or similar
  • Big Data Platforms: Hadoop, Accumulo, or large distributed systems
  • Scripting: Bash and/or Python
  • Configuration Management: Puppet or similar tools
  • Monitoring & Operations: Experience troubleshooting system alerts and outages
  • Collaboration: Ability to work across multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Mission Focus: Comfortable operating in a high-tempo, evolving environment

  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system health and performance across cloud-based environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and data flow issues in real time
  • Support and maintain large-scale Hadoop and Accumulo clusters
  • Perform Linux systems administration in a dynamic operational environment
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and/or Python
  • Execute system patching, upgrades, and configuration management
  • Support storage systems and ensure data integrity
  • Interface with hardware, network, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues
  • Administer user accounts and enforce access controls
  • Ensure system security requirements are met and maintained
  • Participate in engineering discussions and continuous system improvements
  • Provide after-hours on-call support as required
