About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in cloud-native architecture, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, and distributed systems engineering to develop mission-critical cyber operations capabilities. The role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, driving the design, development, integration, and deployment of scalable cloud-based solutions for coordinating and orchestrating complex cyber missions.

As part of an Agile team, the engineer will collaborate with architects, technical leads, developers, data scientists, and cybersecurity professionals to modernize legacy systems and deliver mission solutions. The position involves designing and implementing secure, resilient, and automated cloud architectures, with technical execution aligned to architectural objectives and customer mission requirements. The role also serves as a customer-facing technical leadership position, offering architecture guidance and oversight through the software development lifecycle.

The position is hybrid and located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. An active TS/SCI clearance is required, and the selected applicant may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be willing to take a polygraph exam.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience with enterprise or cloud architecture.
• Experience developing software using languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity management, access control, security monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
