This role seeks a highly motivated and passionate Cloud Solution Architect - Security to drive customer security transformation on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms. It is a customer-facing role responsible for the security-focused technical relationship and strategy between the customer and Microsoft, including architecture, implementation, and operational health. The role specializes in Cloud Security, Threat Protection, or Identity and Access Management (IDAM) based on experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 2+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following categories: Cloud security (design, architect, implement Azure Security solutions like Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel), Threat Protection (design, architect, implement Microsoft Security solutions like Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel; security playbook creation), or Identity and Access Management (implement Microsoft Azure Active Directory or products as an Identity provider, migrate application authentication to Azure Active Directory, implement Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Identity Governance; deploy Microsoft Intune and/or Microsoft Endpoint Protection and policies).
  • Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, Cloud Security, Online Certificate Status Protocol, Global information Assurance Certification, Incident Response.
  • Knowledge of cloud security platforms.
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience and experience to learn new cloud security technologies and understand relevant cloud security market trends.
  • Experience in security and expertise around related technologies and concepts such as Zero Trust, threat management, Security Operations Center monitoring, Extended Detection & Response, Access Control, Cloud Security Architecture, and/or Data Security.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage experience in customer-facing roles and success in leading in-depth technical security architecture discussions with customer executives, Enterprise Security Architects, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers to secure customer technology estates and drive Security as an enabler for Azure and Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (e.g., Zero Trust) spanning the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings.
  • Empower customers in their Microsoft Security adoption journey, helping them define a Secure strategy, Architecture, and implementation of necessary security controls aligned with Microsoft Azure and M365 E5 Security Services, including Identity and Access Management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, and Information Protection.
  • Perform hands-on activities, supporting customers in evaluating native security solutions such as Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Accelerate the business value of overall Azure adoption by improving security posture and ensuring solutions exhibit a "Secure by Design" or "Well-Architected" framework, including high performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
  • Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions that meet business needs, integrating key security technologies where appropriate.
  • Run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing solutions, governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment, resulting in consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
  • Act as a Voice of the Customer to share insights and practices, connecting with Global Security teams, Engineering, and Product teams at Microsoft to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to prove the value of implementing Security technologies.
  • Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
