About The Position
Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support an enterprise service providing software security solutions for customer enclaves. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will design, implement, test, and operate cloud-based software products by leveraging modern software development and system administration best practices. This environment utilizes a microservices architecture with containerized services. The engineering team collaborates closely with customers and cross-agency teams to deliver secure and resilient enterprise software capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development/engineering, including: Requirements analysis, Software development, Installation and integration, Evaluation, Enhancement, Maintenance, Testing, Problem diagnosis and resolution
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field plus five (5) years of experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher) is required
- One of the following additional certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions
- Solve complex technical challenges with a focus on reliability and performance
- Lead or contribute to architecture and design reviews
- Support integration, testing, troubleshooting, and system enhancements
- Help shape project scope, schedules, and technical approaches
- Collaborate individually and within the team to review, test, and refine software components
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
