A CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Salary Information: 113K - 279K+ Compensation and labor categories are defined in accordance with program requirements and government guidelines. Salary within the posted range is determined based on an individual’s experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications, and may be further adjusted based on benefit selections. We are seeking a software engineer, level 2, with cloud experience to join our team. Cloud Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse Big-Data Cloud systems based upon documented requirements. Directly contributes to all stages of back-end processing, analyzing, and indexing. Provides expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop Eco-System including implementing Java applications, Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval (IR), and Object Oriented Design. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Requirements

8 years software engineering experience
6 years experience using Java programming language
Experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
Understanding of Cloud Scalability.
Experience with NiFi.
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL.
Experience developing and deploying analytics.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

IAT Level 2 Certification (Security+ or equivalent).
Experience with at least a subset of the following: DevOps, Elastic Search, NiFi, Python, Java/Spring Boot, Angular

Responsibilities
