As a Security Engineer within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Denver, CO. This role provides subject matter expertise when applying security concepts. It leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions. The role is responsible for deliverables related to project timelines and working with architecture to take high level architectural designs and determine the specifics around implementation details (ex: sizing), integration details, onboarding and operationalization. It evaluates patches, updates, and ongoing maintenance, and determines impacts to existing solutions when new standards are implemented. The role utilizes change control and other governance processes to ensure alignment of solutions. It develops detailed implementation, configuration, design, and engineering documentation. The role builds and implements solutions and works with operational partners to enable transition and day-to-day supportability. It provides engineering support to existing technology in a production environment and collaborates with other groups as required. The role seeks opportunities to grow a broad knowledge base to complement specific subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our partners that have ownership of technical controls that either Cortex Cloud provides and empower our partners to test and evaluate the solution to determine if there is a fit and we as an enterprise can take advantage of it and reduce tool sprawl.
  • This will require proactive relationship building with our partners and stakeholders.
  • Enabling our partners with appropriate access to lower environments to perform testing and analysis.
  • Build relationships with vendor and ensure they are providing us and our partners with appropriate response and support to evaluate new capabilities.
  • Engage and work with EA and successfully obtain approvals from PNC processes to enable new capabilities that increase our security posture in Cloud.
  • Own the Vendor Relationship with Azure, AWS, and Palo Alto.
  • Champion our issues and challenges with each vendor and hold them accountable to correcting problems and bugs that impact this team from delivering value.
  • Plan and lead Quarterly Business Review (QBR).
  • RCSA Control owner for Cloud Security - TEC083.
  • Provide attestation evidence on recurring basis as required for each Cloud Security Control.
  • Review and Analyze TEC083 on recurring basis.
  • Determine if there are gaps and net new controls are needed.
  • Determine if existing controls are no longer applicable or belong in a different RAU.
  • Work with Cloud Security team to automate attestation evidence.
  • Determine if evidence obtained manually can be automated.
  • Cloud Security dashboard UI development with Microsoft PowerBI.
  • The Cloud Security dashboard is used by our stakeholders, partners, and the business to view Azure and AWS configuration violations. This role will help to create the dashboard views that consumers require.
  • Provide statistics on dashboard usage.
  • Engage customers for requirements to build backlog of capabilities for Cloud Security Roadmap.
