About The Position

The State Street Cyber Architecture & Engineering team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer. This team delivers the tooling and solutions to help secure State Street’s digital footprint. There are multiple openings for this role, and it is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. The Cyber Security function, Global Cyber Security (GCS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights securely to our clients. GCS is driving the company’s digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and AI driven, digital-first customer experiences. Requirements

  • Experience with terraform, python, shell scripting, AWS services (EC2, ECS, etc), Policy-as-code, some Azure experience
  • At least 3+ years of SRE with administering, installation and maintenance of Linux versions of RHEL, Ubuntu, and CentOS in public cloud environments.
  • Working experience with Containers and Kubernetes either AWS, Azure or OCI cloud infrastructure.
  • Scripting/coding experience of continuous delivery (CD) GitOps practice with tools such as Harness CI, Jenkins, etc in deploying and maintaining services in AWS, Azure, or OCI cloud environments.
  • Deep understanding of either AWS or Azure resources and their limitations.
  • Solid understanding of Linux Servers, Commands and Troubleshooting, administration, automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake cloud service hardening, management of policy-as-code and associated pipelines, cloud security posture monitoring, cloud security consultation and reviews, cloud security enablement activities, cloud security incident response
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline of Cloud-based applications that support our security stack in a microservices architecture.
  • Support our development teams across multiple environments in an AGILE environment to build secure-by-default infrastructure at scale.
  • Write deployment tools and scripts in Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible to automate operational tasks and deployment of machines, services, and applications.
  • Implement and manage the security rules and controls tied to cloud preventative and detective controls
  • Audit existing services for problems in infrastructure with security, configuration, or other possible issues.
  • Develop tools and automation for system configuration, deployment and maintenance of our cloud security environments while preserving high reliability and availability.
