About The Position

Prescient Edge is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support a Federal Government client. This role involves ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security controls within cloud environments. The engineer will implement security controls and frameworks, manage identity and access, monitor security, and utilize cloud-native security solutions. Responsibilities include configuring IAM solutions, RBAC, and ZTA principles, developing security documentation such as SSP, SAR, and POA&M, and providing compliance reports to ensure adherence to DoD security requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in developing secure web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
  • Demonstrated experience in API development with REST and GraphQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including serverless architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing cloud security frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
  • Experience with SIEM tools, zero-trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in cloud security engineering.
  • Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement security controls and frameworks within cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2, 4, and 5 security policies.
  • Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
  • Provide the Cloud Security Compliance & Risk Report, ensuring all cloud-based operations remain in accordance with DoD security requirements.
  • Implement cloud security frameworks.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
  • Utilize SIEM tools, zero-trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring solutions.
