About The Position

This role involves planning and implementing new security technologies and major releases for critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects. The engineer will design, implement, and deploy cloud security systems to meet business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and provide expert technical support for cloud production environments. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex security issues, contributing to the implementation of leading security technologies, and maintaining comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms. The role also involves developing auditing methodologies for cloud data protection, managing code deployment to various environments, providing production support, and submitting change control requests. Additionally, the engineer will learn client business functions, determine appropriate technical tools, train and mentor junior staff, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain documentation. System administration, writing technical deliverables, and performing systems analysis are also key aspects. Participation in special projects and other assigned duties are expected.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Build responsive, accessible UI using HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and React.
  • Optimize performance and implement unit/E2E testing (e.g., Vitest, Tailwind)
  • Develop scalable services and APIs using TypeScript and Python.
  • Design and maintain microservices architecture.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
  • Implement IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform) and CI/CD via GitHub.
  • Apply AWS security best practices (IAM, secure design).
  • Automate deployments, monitoring, and scaling (CloudWatch, Splunk, Docker/ECS).
  • Optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Build and integrate AI-driven features (LLMs, intelligent APIs, automation workflows).
  • Implement RAG patterns, AI pipelines, and model integrations (Bedrock, SageMaker).
  • Optimize and monitor models for accuracy, drift, bias, and observability.
  • Leverage Claude/equivalent frontier models to engineer solutions

  • Troubleshoots and resolves the most complex issues elevated from staff.
  • Provides guidance and consultation as required.
  • Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
  • Administers system activities.
  • Writes the technical portion of assigned deliverables.
  • Performs systems analysis, including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design.
