About The Position

Insight Canada is building the best professional services practice in the country, and we’re looking for a talented Cloud Architect to join our Cloud team. This is a client-facing consulting role where you will lead architecture engagements, deliver Azure and AWS cloud solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to Canadian clients. The ideal candidate brings deep cloud expertise, strong communication skills, and a track record of leading complex engagements independently.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in cloud consulting or services delivery, architecting and implementing solutions in client environments
5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS - including design, deployment, and operational management of cloud-native and hybrid workloads
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation, including Terraform and Bicep
Background in systems engineering, network architecture, and server infrastructure, including hybrid connectivity and networking design
Experience working within DevOps and Agile cultures, including CI/CD pipeline implementation and automated testing
1–2 years of experience leading teammates or contributing to large project teams
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; this role requires presenting to executives, facilitating technical workshops, and writing for mixed audiences
Thrives in fast-moving client environments where priorities shift mid-engagement; self-directed with minimal oversight needed

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Ansible or Jenkins is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead client workshops, Azure and AWS engagements, assessments, and cloud readiness reviews
Design and deliver Landing Zones, Migration and Platform Engineering engagements for clients
Lead end-to-end cloud migrations — architecture design, planning, and implementation
Design environments and collaborate with consultants on the team to ensure successful project delivery
Operate independently on client engagements — owning the architecture from design through delivery
Leverage IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) and DevOps practices (GitHub Actions, DevOps pipelines) to deploy cloud solutions for clients
Design and implement cloud-native container orchestration platforms (AKS, EKS) for enterprise application deployment
Work on large-scale application modernization projects through rationalization and modernization processes
Collaborate with Practice leadership and thought leaders on pre-sales engagements, solution designs, and proposals
Become a partner, subject-matter expert, and trusted advisor to clients, advising on best-fit technologies and best practices
