About The Position

The Software Engineer works in an Agile team in a multi-technology environment and contributes to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. Under the guidance of a Senior Software Engineer or Manager, collaborates with Business Analysts, key stakeholders, and other IT professionals to define technical specifications (based on business requirements) and system interfaces to develop and present business solutions. Software knowledge base will vary based on the applications being built. We are seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer with 2+ years of experience to help build…., and operate scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms that enable engineering and data teams to deliver solutions efficiently and safely. As a Cloud Ops Engineer, you will work closely with application engineers, data engineering teams, DevOps, security, and architecture partners to reduce operational friction, standardize platforms, and continuously improve developer and data practitioner experience across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE
  • Hands-on experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Practical experience managing Kubernetes (AKS or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting or integrating with Databricks in a cloud environment
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and tooling
  • Solid experience working with Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
  • Experience building scalable, secure, and observable platforms

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud platform capabilities in Microsoft Azure
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Operate and enhance Kubernetes clusters and container-based platforms
  • Administer, integrate, and operationalize the Databricks Account and Metastores, and advise on deployment guidelines for related cloud infrastructure
  • Develop automation, tooling, and integrations using Python
  • Support and harden Linux-based systems used across the Enterprise
  • Implement security, reliability, and compliance controls using policy-as-code and platform automation
  • Partner with data engineering and application teams to enable self-service provisioning and deployment
  • Monitor platform health, performance, reliability, and cost; proactively address issues
  • Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, and operational best practice
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, as needed
