This is a hands-on engineering role focused on operating and improving a 24x7 SaaS platform, primarily on Azure and expanding into AWS. The engineer will be involved in production system operations, automation, and collaborating with engineering and data teams. The role requires keeping systems running reliably while contributing to future improvements, working alongside senior engineers.

  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Bash (ideally both).
  • Working knowledge of Git and source control workflows.
  • Ability to operate independently, own problems, investigate, and drive them to resolution without constant direction.
  • Clear communicator who can work across teams and explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and APM tools (AWS X-Ray, Azure Application Insights, Elastic, etc.).
  • Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS) are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, and respond to production incidents across Azure and AWS environments.
  • Lead or contribute to root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
  • Partner with engineering teams during deployments, rollouts, and infrastructure changes.
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate operational tasks (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts and improve repeatability.
  • Identify and eliminate manual toil across cloud operations workflows.
  • Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines.
  • Tune dashboards and alerts to reduce noise and improve signal fidelity.
  • Extend observability coverage as new services and environments are built.
  • Manage patching cadences and vulnerability remediation across cloud workloads.
  • Support identity and access reviews, role assignments, and least-privilege hygiene.
  • Apply basic hardening practices and help enforce security standards operationally.
  • Support active migration and modernization initiatives, including AWS expansion.
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks to improve institutional knowledge.
  • Contribute ideas for improving platform reliability, cost, or architecture.

Benefits

  • Flexible work schedule
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employer-paid benefits
  • Employer-sponsored EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Traditional 401(k) and Roth retirement plans with discretionary company match
