About The Position

As a Cloud Operations Administrator in our North American service delivery group, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing the cloud instances of CBN solutions for our Canadian government customers at the federal and provincial/territorial levels. In this position you will manage and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and additional relevant work experience.
Knowledge of System administration
Knowledge of Cloud computing
Knowledge of Azure or AWS development
Knowledge of DevOps practices
Knowledge of Automation
Knowledge of Network protocols
Knowledge of Security best practices
Technical expertise in Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances.
Technical expertise in VMware, XCP-NG, JVM
Technical expertise in Docker, Kubernetes
Technical expertise in Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Helmchart
4-7 years of experience of system administration/cloud operations experience
A mix of on-prem, hybrid and cloud environment experience
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience

CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or AWS Associate certification.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability.
Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance.
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats.
Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure services and instances are ready and available 24/7 and on demand.
Provide technical support for systems and instances in test and production environments.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
