About The Position

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Cloud Network Engineer opportunity in Charleston, West Virginia. This role involves designing, managing, and securing cloud-based networks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. The engineer will be responsible for implementing network infrastructure, automating deployments, and monitoring network health.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with cloud firewalls, identity management, and security groups.
  • Basic coding skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of networking experience, with at least three (3) years specialized in Cloud Networking.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing Virtual Private Clouds (VPC/VNET), Subnets, VPNs, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Load Balancers, and content Delivery Networks (CON).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Cloud-native firewalls and Network Security Groups (NSG).

Responsibilities

  • Design secure and scalable virtual networks, subnets, and routing tables.
  • Configure virtual private networks (VPNs), direct connections, and load balancers.
  • Set up firewalls, access control lists, and encryption policies.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to deploy network resources.
  • Track network traffic, troubleshoot uptime issues, and resolve connectivity errors.
