About The Position

This role will lead network architecture and design, developing specifications, implementing, and maintaining cloud network/security architecture for systems/applications. The position involves diagnosing and resolving routing and interconnectivity issues, deploying configuration changes utilizing infrastructure as Code, and providing cost-effective solutions for continuous expansion. Collaboration with NOAA NWave for TIC compliance and ensuring interoperability with NOAA enterprise systems and on-premise infrastructure is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

BS or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years professional experience.
10+ years network design experience.
5 years of cloud Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.
5 years of software-defined networking (SDN) experience.
Experience working with Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) and network security.
Experience working with NOAA NWave and the NOAA Cyber Security Division or similar services.
Experience with Transit Network VPCs, including VPC Peering, AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect and others.
U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder).
Additional background checks may be required based on customer requirements.
