About The Position

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Manager with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code to provide both technical and people leadership for our Cloud Team. This hands-on role will guide the design and delivery of secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms while mentoring direct reports, setting technical direction, and advancing our engineering practices across Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and GitHub based CI/CD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years building and operating Microsoft Azure solutions using Infrastructure as Code and Terraform in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to lead technically, communicate clearly, and guide others through complex infrastructure and cloud engineering challenges.
  • Strong understanding of common Azure services, resources, and architecture patterns, including App Services, Front Door, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Network Security Groups, Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Availability Zones, and regional architectures.
  • Knowledge of core networking principles, including subnetting, routing, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, such as Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar container orchestration technologies.
  • A passion for cloud technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in a safe, secure, and supportable manner.
  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Terraform Cloud, Env0, or similar platforms.
  • Experience deploying Microsoft Azure AI services.
  • Microsoft Azure or HashiCorp certification.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Cloud Team, including coaching, mentoring, delegating work, reviewing team members’ work, and setting appropriate expectations and goals.
  • Guide Azure platform standards, roadmaps, and operating practices in collaboration with architecture, application, security, and operations teams.
  • Help define and evolve the future cloud operating model, including how cloud, application, security, and operations teams collaborate on platform engineering, DevOps practices, and service ownership.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve Azure solutions using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub based CI/CD practices, with attention to availability, disaster recovery, security, and cost.
  • Research emerging public cloud technologies and recommend solutions that improve cost-effectiveness, scalability, user experience, and business value.
  • Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and improve transparency.
  • Provide senior-level Azure infrastructure support, including Tier 3 troubleshooting, incident root-cause analysis, preventive improvements, on-call participation, and occasional after-hours maintenance.
