About The Position

This role focuses on developing and managing scalable cloud architecture, ensuring security and compliance, and migrating applications to public cloud platforms. The engineer will monitor performance, collaborate with teams for optimization, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls.
• Advanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Prior government or regulated industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms.
• Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
• Moves existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely.
• Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.
