About The Position

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / OCI Engineer to support HHS ASPR's Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). The successful candidate will operate, maintain, secure, and optimize the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment supporting the Stockpile Asset Management System (SAMS), a mission-critical Oracle EBS platform supporting inventory, supply chain, warehouse, asset-management, and financial operations. The engineer will support cloud compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, automation, capacity, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and connectivity while collaborating with Oracle application, database, cybersecurity, integration, and systems engineering personnel. The SNS mission depends on 24x7 availability of systems that support the nation’s emergency medical supply readiness and public health response. This position will participate in on-call services and must be able to acknowledge critical incidents within 15 minutes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Experience operating production workloads in OCI or a comparable enterprise IaaS cloud environment.
  • Experience with cloud compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, capacity, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proven track record of administering Linux-based cloud environments (preferably Oracle) and automating infrastructure deployment using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, connectivity, availability, and performance issues.
  • Experience supporting production cloud environments with formal change, configuration, security, and operational controls.
  • Ability to work effectively across application, database, network, cybersecurity, and business teams.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Tier 2 background investigation/suitability determination and HHS PIV access.
  • Ability to meet SNS 24x7 on-call and 15-minute response requirements.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
  • OCI certification.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/GitLab, or comparable automation and configuration-management tools.
  • Oracle Linux experience.
  • Experience supporting Oracle EBS or other enterprise ERP applications hosted in OCI.
  • Experience with FedRAMP Moderate/FISMA environments.
  • Experience with cloud DR, high availability, monitoring, SIEM, and vulnerability-management solutions.
  • Experience supporting federal, HHS, public-health, logistics, supply-chain, or mission-critical environments.
  • Oracle Fusion/Cloud ERP exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain SAMS infrastructure hosted in OCI.
  • Administer OCI compute, storage, networking, IAM, connectivity, and related cloud services.
  • Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, capacity, utilization, and operational health.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, network, connectivity, access, and performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform/IaC, scripting, and approved automation tools.
  • Maintain infrastructure configuration through controlled, version-managed processes and Government-approved repositories.
  • Support cloud backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and continuity capabilities.
  • Support OCI connectivity with HHS networks, Oracle EBS components, external services, and applicable 3PL interfaces.
  • Support security configuration, vulnerability remediation, patching, logging, monitoring, and FISMA/FedRAMP requirements.
  • Support capacity planning and cloud-resource optimization.
  • Coordinate infrastructure changes, releases, maintenance, and incident response with application, database, cybersecurity, integration, and Government teams.
  • Maintain cloud architecture, configuration, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Support modernization, system enhancements, operational readiness, and continuous improvement of the SAMS environment.

  • Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
