We have an exciting opportunity for a Student, Cloud Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Information Technology, with hands-on experience or high interest in Cloud technologies. As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Linux and basic AWS services (e.g., IAM, EC2, S3)
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Interest in cloud computing, data science, or artificial intelligence
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git

Responsibilities

  • Support Data Mesh migrations and client onboarding while collaborating on data requirements
  • Configure and prepare data for ingestion into the Data Mesh
  • Learn data querying tools (Snowflake, Starburst Trino, Athena) and security processes (Macie)
  • Gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Assist in building and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Learn about and support data science and AI tools such as Sagemaker, RStudio, and AWS Analytic Services (e.g., Textract, Bedrock, Kendra, Comprehend)
  • Participate in an Agile team environment, supporting analytic products and contributing to key projects
  • Document processes, manage work with JIRA, and help implement consistent standards and procedures
  • Learn DevOps methodologies and develop basic scripts for Windows and Linux platform
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to enable AWS features for data science and AI applications
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions
