About The Position

A Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. This role supports application development, optimizes cloud environments, and ensures adherence to best practices across cloud platforms. Cloud Engineers combine strong technical expertise with collaboration, focusing on automation, performance, and continuous improvement to enable efficient and resilient systems. Our approach to servicing our employees is grounded in our values. To deliver excellence for our Harvest Group employees, we do require that this role is based in Rogers (AR) or Cincinnati (OH). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VNets, DNS, and load balancing
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Bicep or CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud certifications such AZ-104: Azure Administrator greater
  • Experience with serverless architectures and services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure App Insights or Grafana
  • Familiarity with cost management and optimization tools
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks like SOC 2
  • Experience with database services (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake)
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and proactively address issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments
  • Ensure security best practices are followed, including identity management, encryption, and compliance standards
  • Optimize cloud costs through monitoring, right-sizing, and resource management
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in cloud environments
  • Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backups, and business continuity initiatives
