About The Position

RBC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the Hybrid Cloud Technology team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust platforms and infrastructure to support our cash management solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation and optimization of cloud-based platforms while leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices in DevOps and Cloud computing.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment
• Strong expertise in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Golang, Python, SQL, JavaScript.
• Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code concept and how to apply it.

Nice To Haves

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Develop automation and infrastructure as code to improve operational consistency and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM templates, and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling of cloud resources.
• Design and develop highly scalable solutions using Python and Golang on Kubernetes platform.
• Work with the team to implement secure, highly available and scalable architectures on RBC Hybrid Cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture best practices and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Build automation pipelines by using IaaC technology (Terraform) to deploy on RBC Hybrid cloud.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management processes using existing tools and established tech stack.
• Hands on experience with CICD toolsets such as Jenkins, Git Actions, etc.
