About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to work hybrid remote/on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. This role involves providing technical expertise in a range of cloud technologies, leading teams on complex projects, and acting as a liaison between clients and technical teams. The engineer will be responsible for translating client requirements into technical specifications, managing project stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet or exceed client expectations. The position also requires implementing development, testing, and automation tools, setting up infrastructure, defining DevSecOps processes, troubleshooting code, monitoring processes for efficiency, and identifying and deploying security measures. Incident management, root cause analysis, and coordination with teams and clients are also key aspects of the role. The engineer will also select and deploy CI/CD tools and provide progress reports.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Foundation.
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Foundation.

  • Have the technical skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in a range of cloud technologies to include cloud development, cloud architecture, cloud system engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps engineering and operations, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Lead a team on projects of various layers of complexity and create solutions involving or affecting financial, scheduling, methodology, tools, and prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, system development, processes, procedures, and producing methods.
  • Act as a liaison to take the project requirements from the client and then translate them into technical requirements.
  • Manage the project stakeholders and work with them as a technical point of contact for everything related to cloud engineering.
  • Plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Understand client requirements and project KPIs.
  • Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT Infrastructure.
  • Plan the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
  • Set up the tools and required infrastructure.
  • Define and set development, test, release, update, and support the DevSecOps process.
  • Troubleshoot the techniques and fix the code bugs.
  • Monitor the process during the entire lifecycle for its adherence, updating or creating new processes for improvement, and minimizing the wastage.
  • Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible.
  • Identify and deploy security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
  • Incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Coordination and communication with the team and with clients, both external and internal.
  • Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools.
  • Manage periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the client.
