About The Position

BridgePhase is seeking well-rounded Cloud Engineers to join their dynamic team supporting the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Resources for InnoVation and Enterprise Readiness (RIVER) Benefits portfolio. This team is responsible for building and supporting high-performing, scalable software applications and cloud infrastructure that directly contribute to USCIS modernization efforts. This is a fully remote position. For over 10 years, the team has been instrumental in advancing digital transformation efforts at USCIS, building cutting-edge solutions using DevSecOps tools and technologies to streamline immigration processes, improve customer service, and maintain system integrity. The team embraces an Agile methodology with an emphasis on automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Mid-level and senior Cloud Engineers are sought for this newly awarded contract. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of initiative, passion for innovation, a solid understanding of software engineering principles, and a willingness to work in a highly collaborative Agile and DevOps culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in software engineering, cloud engineering, or platform engineering focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS cloud environments.
  • Experience with modern container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of AWS technology offerings and cloud fundamentals.
  • Ability to work within Agile development teams.
  • Ability to work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams.
  • Proven aptitude to create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
  • Experience building and configuring CI/CD delivery environments using Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions using tools like Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
  • Exceptional communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative, “badgeless” team environment consisting of Government clients, Contractors, and Stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirements.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS certifications are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Building and supporting high-performing, scalable software applications and cloud infrastructure.
  • Delivering end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in cloud environments.
  • Working closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to build and configure high-performing, scalable cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Creating scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
  • Building and configuring CI/CD delivery environments using Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions.
