As a Cloud Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. We are looking for a Cloud/Observability Engineer to ensure our systems are operating effectively at scale. As an Observability Engineer you will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing the stability, scalability, and performance of our rapidly evolving infrastructure. Candidate will work closely with cross functional teams, including software engineers, product managers and DevOps engineers to maintain and improve resilient systems.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Documented experience developing and maintaining systems that allow for effective monitoring, logging, and tracing of applications.
  • Experience regularly analyzing system performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with detecting anomalies, troubleshooting incidents, monitoring system health and supporting compliance and security efforts.
  • Documented experience with monitoring and alerting best practices within a cloud native environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems that allow for effective monitoring, logging, and tracing of applications.
  • Analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Detect anomalies, troubleshoot incidents, monitor system health, and support compliance and security efforts.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting best practices within a cloud native environment.
  • Utilize DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Review telemetry data and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies based on data.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
  • Work with Agile Scrum based development teams.
  • Participate in an after-hours on call rotation, typically one week at a time, rotating approximately every eight weeks.
