About The Position
Software Mind is seeking a Google and Azure Cloud Engineer to join their managed services team. This role involves supporting clients with the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of their Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure environments. The responsibilities include ongoing platform support, incident handling, monitoring, and ensuring the stability and security of cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure core services.
- Good understanding of GCP and Azure networking.
- Knowledge of Azure security fundamentals (Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud) and GCP (IAM, Org Policies, audit logging, Secret Manager).
- Experience with Terraform (required) for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex GCP and Azure infrastructure issues independently.
- Good communication skills in English — client-facing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Bicep for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
- Experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- AZ-104 and AZ-305 certification preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and support GCP and Azure environments for managed services clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests.
- Manage cloud resources including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL (GCP) and Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, App Services, and Azure Functions.
- Configure and maintain networking components: VPC, Cloud DNS, Private Service Connect (GCP) and Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure DNS, NSGs, Private Endpoints (Azure).
- Ensure security and compliance through IAM, Org Policies, VPC Service Controls, Secret Manager, Cloud Audit Logs (GCP) and Azure AD / Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud (Azure).
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps / Cloud Build / GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Collaborate with client teams and contribute to documentation and runbooks.
