About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves assessing and improving existing cloud infrastructure to meet federal government standards, designing and implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring security compliance. You will also be responsible for optimizing cloud usage, developing disaster recovery plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or administration
• Knowledge in a variety of cloud platforms and technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of federal government security requirements, including FISMA and FedRAMP
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
• Current active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements to align with federal government standards and best practices
• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, operation procedures, and security guidelines
• Collaborate with the security operations team to ensure compliance with federal government security requirements
• Conduct regular cloud infrastructure audits to identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities
• Optimize cloud service utilization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based services
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to personnel as needed
• Coordinate with other federal agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and technologies
