About The Position

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable cloud capabilities within the Microsoft Azure platform. This role is a hands-on engineering position focused on delivering Azure infrastructure and platform services that align with enterprise architecture, security standards, and modernization goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cloud Architecture & Engineering, this role works closely with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to implement cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps best practices. The Sr Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in executing the Azure roadmap through high-quality engineering and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including networking, compute, storage, and identity services.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and governance controls.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments in partnership with operations and service management teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DevOps tooling and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Familiarity with Azure PaaS services and cloud‑native architectures.
  • Experience in regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud or migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and implement Azure infrastructure and platform services across IaaS and PaaS environments.
  • Build, configure, and support Azure resources including virtual networks, compute, storage, identity, and shared services.
  • Implement secure identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC following Zero Trust principles.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release automation in partnership with DevOps teams.
  • Apply governance standards including tagging, policy enforcement, and configuration controls.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Participate in incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, security, network, and application teams to deliver compliant cloud solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks for Azure services.
