As a Cloud Engineer with MTSI, you will serve as a technical lead for one of MTSI’s internal projects which consists of an IL5-aligned platform that delivers centralized templates of hardened Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines to replicate secure, compliant environments across AWS IL4/IL5 spokes. Day to day, you will set technical direction, design and maintain modular Terraform layers, lead GitLab-based pipeline automation, and ensure secure, reliable operations. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and software SMEs to troubleshoot issues, mature IAM/role assumptions, and continuously strengthen security and compliance dashboards (e.g., AWS Security Hub, NIST 800-53/171, FedRAMP High alignment). You will support cross-company DevSecOps and Cloud initiatives as a member of the DevSecOps & Cloud Capability Focus Area (CFA) contributor. How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission: As a Cloud Engineer and technical lead with MTSI, you will be responsible for aiding in the solutioning, implementing, and sustaining cloud-native and traditional infrastructure, tools, and technologies. You will architect and sustain secure, repeatable cloud environments that accelerate DevSecOps adoption across distributed sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the security posture meets any requirements. You will aide in the decomposition of requirements and the planning of tasking. You will help oversee and contribute to the development, testing, operations, and sustainment of the solutions and environments the team supports. You will interface frequently with stakeholders across different disciplines and organizations. This position will initially be a Hybrid position that may eventually transition into a full-time onsite role.
