About The Position

As a cloud engineer, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions for collaboration and simulation infrastructure, addressing complex problems for the warfighter. You will utilize the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments, inform strategy, design solutions, and ensure standards are met during cloud migration. Responsibilities include managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. This role requires a hands-on technical professional who can evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies, implement solutions aligned with business objectives, and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience with designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud environments
Experience implementing and supporting security, compliance, and governance solutions
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

Nice To Haves

Experience with hybrid cloud environments and identity synchronization
Experience supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft environments
Experience with ITIL-based service management practices
Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possession of strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Administrator, or Security Administrator Certifications

Responsibilities

Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services and associated security, compliance, and collaboration platforms.
Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and device compliance.
Developing, maintaining, and automating administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
Monitoring cloud environments and proactively identifying opportunities for performance improvements, security enhancements, and cost optimization.
Configuring and managing Microsoft Entra ID, including identity governance, authentication, conditional access, and access management.
