About The Position

As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the Department of War's toughest problems. As a leader on our team, you’ll support cloud migration efforts for transition to cloud architectures, evaluate cloud technologies, architectures, and data types, develop implementation planning and administer a development environment, utilize publicly available repositories to streamline development activities and leverage open-source standards to ensure integration of services. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with the Army client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll use your experience to guide your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with program management, including managing complex IT projects
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or IT
  • DoDM 8140.03 for Defensive Cyber Workforce (DCWF) Work Role 801 Advanced Level Certification
  • PMI Certification, such as PgMP or PMP Certification
  • ITIL 4 Foundation and Managing Professional Framework Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project tools
  • Experience developing and writing Performance Work Statements (PWS) or Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Experience reviewing vendor proposals and vendor management to align contracts and SLAs
  • Experience with performance based and award fee contracts
  • Knowledge of DoD project or program management practices
  • Ability to lead large, multifunctional teams of 150+ personnel, work independently, and anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams
  • Master's degree in Project Management or IT
  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification
