About The Position

MORSE Corp is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join one or more projects focused on big data, artificial intelligence, decision systems, and their accompanying cloud applications. These applications provide cutting-edge, algorithmic-based simulation, situational awareness, and mission planning capabilities to a wide variety of DoD customers. The Cloud Engineer will work within small interdisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and software developers, following Agile development processes and embracing DevSecOps for fast and secure software service delivery. The role involves the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, working closely with developers and utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). A successful candidate will collaborate effectively with team members, oversee cloud service deployments, and ensure compliance with security guidelines. MORSE encourages creative individuals eager to make an immediate impact. The candidate will also be expected to learn new technologies and stay current with cloud computing and software engineering trends, working on new code bases that are heavily object-oriented, extensible, and maintainable.

Requirements

  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • 2+ years of experience working with AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Expertise in working with Terraform or Cloud Formation
  • 2+ years of experience working with software development teams
  • Proficiency in working with scalable cloud infrastructure
  • Experience managing Identity management systems for cloud services
  • Experience with compliance and monitoring systems
  • Experience with Agile development (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter and driven
  • BS or MS (preferred) in computer science or equivalent degree, or significant professional experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with container orchestration services
  • IAT Level 2 Certification

Responsibilities
