About The Position

Our Public Cloud Network team designs, builds, and supports secure cloud connectivity across enterprise environments. We work closely with application, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to keep critical financial technology services connected, protected, and ready to scale. As a Public Cloud Network Engineer, you will help shape and operate the cloud networking platforms that support FIS technology services. You will work with Palo Alto firewalls, Azure networking, AWS networking, and Terraform to deliver secure, reliable, and performant public cloud environments automatically.

Requirements

  • Strong experience supporting cloud networking in Azure and AWS environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, routing, network security, and connectivity patterns.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms or similar enterprise firewall technologies.
  • Practical experience using Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Panorama, GlobalProtect, or Palo Alto cloud integrations.
  • Experience with ExpressRoute, VPN, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, or cloud-native DNS services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based infrastructure workflows.
  • Experience creating reusable Terraform modules or enterprise cloud networking standards.
  • Financial services, regulated environment, or enterprise-scale infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of cloud network services across Azure and AWS.
  • Manage and improve firewall connectivity using Palo Alto Networks technologies.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Partner with security, application, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Develop standards, automation, and repeatable patterns that improve reliability and speed of delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers working on cloud network solutions.
