About The Position

The Work: We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions that enable mission‑critical systems for government and commercial clients. This role works closely with architects, developers, and DevSecOps teams to implement cloud‑native architectures and modernize legacy platforms. Job Location: This is a fully remote role which may require occasional travel to the DC Metro area as needed for onsite client meetings. Preference to candidates located within the Washington, DC Metro area. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or solution architecture
• At least 2+ years of supporting federal or DoD programs, preferably DCSA

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Prior experience supporting DCSA or similar national security programs
• Experience working on federal or DoD IT programs
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Foundational knowledge of: Linux/Unix operating systems
• Cloud services (compute, storage, networking)
• Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, ELK)

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments
• Build and maintain cloud‑native solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Support application and data migrations to cloud platforms
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance, security controls, and best practices
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cost and reliability
• Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
