Cloud DevSecOps Engineer
About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area, enabling the integration of video services into the Department of War. This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, Maryland. The role involves automating security scanning, managing cloud identity and compliance, monitoring cloud environments for misconfigurations, enforcing security policies, and designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Cloud Application capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). The engineer will provide guidance on designing complex software systems, act as a technical expert for systems integration and compatibility issues, review existing programs for refinements, and be responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Additionally, the role includes instructing and directing other personnel, and performing quality assurance reviews of software products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field.
- 8+ years of related experience.
- Minimum of an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II 8570 certification.
- Ability to integrate security practices directly into cloud-native development and deployment workflows.
- Experience in DevSecOps utilizing, configuring and integrating tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Gitlab, Sonatye Nexus.
- Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation.
- Strong understanding of DoW Cloud governance and application architectures required to implement cloud services for DoW customers.
- Specific focus is on user interface development for government off-the-shelf interfaces.
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite).
- Automate configuration, validation, and monitoring processes using a mix scripting, development and configuration, reducing manual errors and deployment times.
- Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks and libraries.
- Experience in agile methodologies, especially related to release scheduling, and utilizing tools such as JIRA and confluence.
- Proficiency in developing and executing test plans.
- US Citizenship Required.
