About The Position

GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the security, automation, and compliance of AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical federal systems. In this role, you will implement cloud-native security controls, secure enterprise cloud workloads, and collaborate closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to strengthen security posture and operational resilience. This position is ideal for hands-on cloud security engineers who enjoy working across AWS, automation, DevSecOps, and compliance-driven environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud security experience
• Experience securing cloud-native architectures and AWS services
• Experience with IAM, KMS, Security Groups, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, and encryption technologies
• Experience supporting DevSecOps or Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
• Experience with security and vulnerability management tools such as Splunk, Nessus, Tenable, or enterprise firewalls
• Strong understanding of cloud security, risk mitigation, and compliance best practices

Nice To Haves

• Federal government or regulated industry experience
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives
• Experience with CI/CD security integration
• Must possess at least one of the following: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CAP, CGEIT

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across AWS cloud environments
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud automation initiatives
• Secure cloud workloads, APIs, storage, and networking components
• Support compliance and regulatory initiatives aligned with federal requirements
• Monitor vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts across enterprise environments
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve cloud security posture
• Support security tooling, logging, monitoring, and threat detection activities
• Help drive operational efficiency through automation and DevSecOps best practices
