About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role is responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). The developer will implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices, analyze applications to identify migration opportunities, and provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of various service models. The position involves developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating on-premises applications, debugging cloud stacks, managing cloud service policies, and establishing a secure cloud environment with appropriate availability. The role also includes independently designing and developing new software products or significant enhancements to existing cloud software.

Requirements

5 years of experience
Experience with Linux based environment administration
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work.
Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks
Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python

Responsibilities

Developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
Implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
Analyzing applications and making recommendations for cloud migration and deployment.
Providing strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services.
Developing and implementing cloud applications.
Migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
Debugging cloud stacks.
Managing policies for the use of cloud services.
Establishing a secure cloud environment, ensuring appropriate availability/uptime design.
Designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
