About The Position

The contractor will provide strategic recommendations for evolving cloud architecture, encompassing hybrid, containerized, and edge environments, ensuring alignment with capability and security requirements. Key responsibilities include providing budget estimates based on the MARS cloud roadmap, monitoring for cloud service anomalies, and evaluating cloud system performance and cost options. The role also involves evaluating and recommending strategies and tools to enhance the MARS CI/CD pipeline for automation, speed, auditability, and security across on-premise, hybrid, and edge environments. The contractor will support MARS edge and cross-domain solution development, and manage complex agile development projects. A critical aspect is to provide strategy and recommendations for adopting available cloud providers and services within the MARS environment, staying current with provider roadmaps, and advocating for services that improve security, performance, and availability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Ten (10) years minimum experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) in a relevant position
AWS certification as solution architect
TOP SECRET clearance/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) eligibility with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph

Responsibilities

Provide strategy and recommendations for evolving cloud architecture, including hybrid, containerized, and edge.
Provide budget estimates based on the MARS cloud roadmap.
Monitor and identify cloud service anomalies.
Evaluate cloud systems and provide feedback on performance and/or cost options.
Evaluate and recommend strategy and tools to improve MARS CI/CD pipeline to automated, speed, audit, and secure MARS system across the different environments including: on-prem, hybrid, and edge.
Support MARS edge and cross domain solution development.
Manage and oversee non-routine and complex projects with agile development teams as assigned.
Provide strategy and recommendations of available cloud providers and service for adoption in the MARS environment.
Stay abreast of providers and services (current and roadmap) in the MARS environment.
Advocate for services that MARS can leverage to improve security, performance, and availability.
