About The Position

As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. This role involves developing cloud-based solutions for GEOINT's toughest challenges. You will design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations, utilizing the latest cloud technologies to improve the client’s environment. Your technical expertise will be crucial in informing strategy and design for GEOINT missions, ensuring standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You will recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will lead a team in helping the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you will broaden your skill set in areas like automation and cloud-based security while developing critical systems for GEOINT missions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in microservices architectures
  • 3+ years of experience with designing and developing cloud solutions using cloud native tools such as EKS, ECR, or Opensearch
  • 2+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
  • Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools
  • Ability to deploy hybrid solutions with cloud or on-premise infrastructure or multi-cloud strategies
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating within an Agile environment
  • Experience in acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
  • Experience working with multiple CSPs such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle
  • Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
  • Bachelor's degree
