About The Position

SITEC is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (SE3) to support complex Government technology systems. The role focuses on cloud migration, system architecture, strategic roadmaps, and application modernization. The engineer will help address technical challenges, improve existing systems, and plan future technology initiatives in collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 20 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, five additional years of relevant Systems Engineering experience (25 years total) may substitute for the degree.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading systems engineering efforts.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements analysis, integration, and technical planning.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting cloud migration and cloud architecture initiatives.
• Knowledge of application modernization, legacy system redevelopment, and technical debt reduction.
• Experience developing technical roadmaps and evaluating system design alternatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, including DoDAF and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical leadership and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Support technical leadership in planning cloud migrations and developing scalable system architectures.
• Help develop and document technical roadmaps aligned with long-term organizational goals.
• Identify legacy system challenges and recommend strategies to reduce technical debt.
• Evaluate existing applications and help plan redevelopment, modernization, and integration efforts.
• Analyze requirements, assess technical alternatives, and support system design and architecture decisions.
• Develop technical documentation and coordinate with engineering teams and stakeholders to support project execution.
