Cloud Architect (Multi-Cloud)

Bright Vision Technologies•Monroe Township, MI
•$100,000 - $180,000•Remote

About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Cloud Architect to design strategies, reference architectures, and platform capabilities spanning multiple cloud providers—AWS, Azure, GCP, and selectively OCI—for enterprises that deliberately operate across more than one cloud. The role focuses on portability, abstraction layers, federated identity, cross-cloud networking, and platform offerings that reduce cloud-specific complexity for product teams. The ideal candidate has architected meaningful multi-cloud capabilities, understands the trade-offs between portability and cloud-native depth, and brings production-grounded perspectives. This is a full-time, direct W2 position that is 100% remote in the United States. The salary range is $100,000–$180,000 annually. Applicants may include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates; the company cannot sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 12 or more years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
  • Hands-on architecture experience across at least two major cloud providers.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security across multiple providers.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across clouds.
  • Experience designing federated identity and SSO across cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Multiple cloud certifications across providers.
  • Track record of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with abstraction platforms such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
  • Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms.
  • Experience driving large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.
  • Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud mandates.
  • Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI as relevant.
  • Design federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization patterns that support movement between providers while maintaining least privilege, auditability, and operational simplicity.
  • Architect cross-cloud networking, including transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
  • Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that abstract cloud-specific implementations where appropriate.
  • Define container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies that work consistently across providers.
  • Design data architecture strategies for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.
  • Drive multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement, avoiding fragmented per-cloud tooling stacks.
  • Establish FinOps practices that operate consistently across multiple cloud providers.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies that span clouds.
  • Partner with security architects on multi-cloud security models and KMS and key management strategies.
  • Guide engineering teams on when to use cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native patterns.
  • Produce architecture artifacts, including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs, that clearly document technical decisions.
  • Engage with cloud providers and partners to evaluate roadmap alignment.
  • Stay current with multi-cloud platform and tooling developments, review release notes and community discussions, and translate advances into recommendations and adoption proposals.
