Role: Cloud Architect - GCP Compliance and Security Duration: Through 12/31, potential extension Location: Onsite in Jersey City, NJ The services You will provide the Deloitte project team: As a Cloud Architect Contractor, you will support the project team by designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Develop cloud architecture strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including network design, security configurations, and cloud services. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies and tools to meet project needs. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of cloud solutions. Ensure compliance with best practices and standards for cloud security, performance, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- GCP, Python, Terraform, Network
- 5 + years of experience
- GCP networking fundamentals + secure segmentation/egress control patterns
- Terraform-based network provisioning; change safety/blast-radius management
- Troubleshooting using logs/flow data and systematic triage

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, scalable networking for onboarded applications, including segmentation and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Build/operate VPC/Shared VPC, subnets, routes, firewall policies, DNS patterns
- Define ingress/egress architecture, NAT, load balancing patterns, private access
- Support hybrid connectivity concepts (VPN/Interconnect), routing, and troubleshooting
- Deliver network changes safely via Terraform modules and staged rollouts
