About The Position

Redhawk Federal has an immediate opening for an experienced Cloud Application Engineer supporting the Library of Congress. The position is remote, but candidates must live near Washington, D.C., or within a reasonable commuting distance to attend meetings when needed. The Engineer provides cloud engineering services to design, deploy, administer, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments and enterprise applications supporting mission operations and digital transformation. The work includes managing cloud-based development environments on Amazon WorkSpaces and Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PC; administering Microsoft SQL Server; operating and maintaining Atlassian Jira and Confluence; deploying applications on AWS and Azure; using Infrastructure as Code; and applying secure development practices. The role also supports enterprise applications on these platforms, including integration of artificial intelligence capabilities. The Engineer serves as technical lead for cloud-hosted web applications, APIs, AI-enabled services, and enterprise automation. The role collaborates with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, highly available solutions that meet federal cybersecurity and operational requirements. The two primary application environments are cloud-based development environments and Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration.
