About The Position

The Cloud & Security Administrator is the senior technical authority responsible for cloud platforms, identity, security tooling, and risk bearing systems. This role owns security posture, SaaS governance, disaster recovery and cloud operations, with an emphasis on prevention, standardization, and long-term stability.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in cloud, identity, and security-focused infrastructure roles
  • Proven experience operating as a senior individual contributor or technical owner in a hybrid (on‑prem + cloud) environment
  • Demonstrated responsibility for risk-bearing systems and production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Deep understanding of identity and access management concepts (RBAC, conditional access, privileged access, access reviews)
  • Experience administering and responding to security tooling such as EDR, SIEM, MDR, and vulnerability management platforms
  • Practical knowledge of security fundamentals including:
  • Least privilege and zero trust principles
  • Network security (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation)
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies
  • Familiarity with hybrid identity components such as AD, LAPS, gMSAs, and directory integrations
  • Strong incident response mindset with the ability to lead during security or cloud-impacting events
  • Comfortable operating autonomously within defined standards and governance
  • Able to translate technical risk into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong documentation discipline and ability to maintain architectural and operational records
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and administer security controls in Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS platforms (EDR, device compliance, policies)
  • Ensure secure configuration, availability, and scalability of cloud services
  • Support cloud related incidents and outages
  • Support hybrid identity environments and cloud integrations
  • Perform and own periodic access reviews
  • Enforce identity standards and privileged access controls (LAPS, gMSAs)
  • Act as escalation point for identity related incidents
  • Own and administer security tooling (EDR, SIEM, MDR, etc.)
  • Monitor and lead response for security related incidents
  • Coordinate containment, recovery, and technical remediation
  • Lead general security reviews (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, ZT, least-privilege initiatives)
  • Serve as technical owner for data protection, backup, security, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Define and implement architecture aligned with approved standards
  • Handle technical vendor coordination
  • Track corporate license utilization and renewal timing risks
  • Ensure licensing aligns with security and compliance requirements
  • Help define, enforce and operationalize security standards and best practices
  • Contribute to security roadmaps and risk reduction initiatives
  • Lead technical responses to audits and compliance reviews
  • Produce and maintain architectural, security, and operational documentation
  • Contribute to SOPs and standards evolution
