Cloud AI/ML Technical Project Manager
About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud AI/ML Technical Project Manager position for our client. This is a remote, 12-month contract role. The position involves leading the end-to-end delivery of cloud-based AI/ML and Generative AI projects, managing all aspects of project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables. The role requires leading technical teams and collaborating with client project managers, architects, engineers, developers, and data scientists. Key initiatives include driving Agile delivery, Design Thinking, cloud migration, modernization, refactoring, containerization, APIs, microservices, and Kubernetes. The role also supports AI/ML solutions using LLMs and cloud services like Google Vertex AI, Dialogflow, Gemini, AWS, and Azure, and coordinates troubleshooting for complex cloud, application, infrastructure, and AI/ML issues to ensure deliverables meet technical requirements, timelines, and client expectations.
Requirements
- Cloud technologies: GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
- Generative AI, LLMs, and machine learning model development/deployment.
- Google Cloud AI/ML services including Vertex AI, Dialogflow, and Gemini.
- AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and/or Ray.
- Knowledge of GPUs, TPUs, transformers, encoders, decoders, and ML APIs.
- Compute fundamentals including virtualization, containers, operating systems, and system administration.
- Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and cloud modernization.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to read code in Python, Java, C/C++, Go, JavaScript, Shell, or similar languages.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- 7–10 years of experience in technology, cloud solutions, technical project management, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with machine learning model development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- 5 years of experience reading code or working with system design.
- Hands-on project delivery experience with at least one major cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and complex cloud or AI/ML projects.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant cloud, AI/ML, or project management certifications are a plus.
