About The Position

Provide system support to a software development program. Provide set-up, configuration, and software installation for development, test, and production systems in both Cloud and non-Cloud architectures. Interface directly with development team as well as system end users. Assist with system specifications and configurations. Script common Cloud Administrator functions. Determine system optimizations. Ensure systems comply with existing enterprise licensing agreements. Troubleshoot Linux systems identifying hardware, software (both OS and application level), and networking issues. Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
  • Ten (10) years experience as a Cloud Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Experience with Linux System administration is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Cloud Administrator experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system support to a software development program.
  • Provide set-up, configuration, and software installation for development, test, and production systems in both Cloud and non-Cloud architectures.
  • Interface directly with development team as well as system end users.
  • Assist with system specifications and configurations.
  • Script common Cloud Administrator functions.
  • Determine system optimizations.
  • Ensure systems comply with existing enterprise licensing agreements.
  • Troubleshoot Linux systems identifying hardware, software (both OS and application level), and networking issues.
  • Write software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
  • Implement and provide technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks, including those composed of CISCO and UNIX or LINUX-based hardware platforms, to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements.
  • Implement network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of UNIX or LINUX-based hardware platforms.
  • Work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, Kubernetes, and Decker.
  • Provision and sustain network infrastructures and develop, operate, and manage networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment.
  • Identify analytical needs and requirements, to include query syntax, data flows, and traffic manipulation.
  • Conduct technical reviews of peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, peer-to-peer routing and application messaging frameworks.
