About The Position

Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (“Dovenmuehle”) is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide. The Closing Specialist I is responsible for mitigating potential losses on delinquent loans using various alternatives, including pre-foreclosure sales, modifications, stipulated repayment agreements, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure, and assumptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience mortgage/loan processing.
• Working knowledge of processes of loss mitigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and loan servicing platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional manner at all times with all levels of both internal and external audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in accounting, real estate, or similar combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of MSP.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of loss mitigation files within required timelines and protocols.
• Prepare, review for accuracy, and ensure timely delivery of completed loan packages to Investor Accounting in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and adherence to all laws, regulations, and organizational processes.
• Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
• Additional duties as assigned.
