Our team is growing: Provide’s Closing team is looking for a bold, compassionate, and focused closing operations specialist to complete internal tasks when a customer accepts an offer of financing and the transaction is advanced to closing. In this role, you will focus on reviewing and validating complex documents with minimal oversight and providing accurate, clear, and concise information to enable a superior lending experience for external customers. As a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You will be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank, you will be expected to achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least three years of related experience
  • Knowledge of lending guidelines and underwriting and closing procedures
  • Ability to identify actionable items while reviewing detailed and complex documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to analyze policies, procedures, and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity while adhering to risk guidelines
  • Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in closing, sales, finance, or commercial real estate
  • Experience in practice finance or construction project management
  • CRM software and/or pipeline management experience

Responsibilities

  • Review all credit conditions on accepted offers for financing and ensure the customer’s dashboard is properly configured to collect all required closing conditions
  • Contact vendors to collect bids for required real estate diligence reports for CRE loans, engage vendors selected to perform diligence, and complete engagement letters and questionnaires
  • Facilitate the collection of all reports, and transmit the same to the assigned closing officer
  • Engage third-party vendors for requirements
  • Take ownership of loan file diligence and vetting of documents submitted by customers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements and guidelines
  • Review and establish policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of the closing process
  • Educate and mentor closing officers on configuration requirements
  • Assist with departmental projects and other duties as assigned
