UMB’s bottom line is directly impacted by the growth of our small business portfolio. This team manages the commercial relationships throughout its life – developing meaningful connections with small business owners and the management of companies they serve. Always mindful of the changes in the company, its industry, etc., over time that might create a change in their financial service needs. As a Small Business Specialist, you are a product sales expert focused on solutions that will entice prospective companies to award new business to UMB. Your role is focused on companies with revenues under $1 million and provides loans, lines of credit, credit cards, treasury, and depository services to targeted companies. You will generate, retain and expand lending and depository relationships with new and existing clients through direct prospecting, marketing programs, cold calling and client referrals. You will serve as the primary connection for all financial services to the Small Business Banking client (i.e., Treasury Services, Lending and Depository Services). Seen as a trusted advisor, you will ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization and its products/services at every touch point; identifying prospecting approaches to recognize potential customers and create opportunities to sell financial solutions and ideas to customers for both their business and personal financial needs.
