About The Position

Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to immediately fill the position of Closet Design Engineer/ CAD Programmer.

Requirements

Intermediate or above experience with Microsoft Excel.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be familiar with computer usage and technology.
Typing of 30 WPM preferred.

Nice To Haves

College training is preferred.
Drafting or design experience preferred.
Cabinet Vision and Autocad experience preferred.
Wood Product Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a personal quality process to ensure all items required by the sales package design have been included in the cutlist, specifically that all components purchased by the customer are included and all required machining, special orders, etc. are accurately specified.
Produce a minimum of $73,400 in jobs per day after three-months of training, and continually seek methods for improving daily output.
Have a positive and proactive attitude towards meeting and surpassing the customers’ expectations (Manufacturing Department, Installation Department, and the End-User Customer), continuously seeking improved methods for reducing job completion time, ensuring the highest quality, and meeting or surpassing all customer expectations.
Arrive to work on-time and minimize time away from workstation. Take prescribed Breaks and Lunch periods, and minimize absence days.
