About The Position

We are seeking a high-performance Closer/Escrow Officer to take total command of the production and documentation side of real estate transactions across multiple jurisdictions. You will focus on the technical execution of the closing-preparing documents, clearing title, and ensuring perfect compliance-while other teams handle direct consumer coordination and the final movement of funds.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior-level closing or title role with a proven track record of managing transactions in multiple states.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the real estate title process, TRID/RESPA compliance, and settlement software (e.g., Qualia and ReWare).
  • Ability to take full charge of the production of a file, making complex, time-sensitive decisions independently while maintaining absolute accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management skills with a "detective" mindset for spotting discrepancies in legal and financial documents across different state formats.
  • Driven to use technology and e-recording tools to streamline the production workflow and reduce manual errors.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a high-volume, multi-state production pipeline, ensuring every file moves from contract to "ready-to-close" in strict accordance with lender and company requirements.
  • Navigate the end-to-end documentation process across varying state statutes (including Louisiana's Civil Law and Arkansas standards), sales contracts, and lender instructions.
  • Prepare and audit Closing Disclosures (CD), HUD-1 Settlement Statements, and conveyance documents; ensure all state-specific taxes, fees, and credits are balanced with "to-the-penny" accuracy.
  • Examine title commitments and lender instructions to identify and proactively clear complex requirements, ensuring a "clear to close" status for every assigned property.
  • Act as the lead technical liaison for lenders and realtors, resolving roadblocks and ensuring all parties have the accurate documentation needed for a timely closing.
  • Prepare, review, and organize complete closing packages, ensuring all legal instruments are in recordable form according to local parish or county standards.
  • Maintain meticulous file notes in the technology platform, ensuring a clear and concise audit trail for every action taken on a file.
